This
client raises Arabian horses and loves the thrill of riding
to the hounds. Having recently moved ( you can see their
home at the top of the mural ), they decided to remodel
the entertaining kitchen near the pool area. With photgraphs
supplied by the customer, details of animal markings and
color were realistically reproduced. Notice how the horse
seems to leap over the fence right into the room. This client
continued the theme with shelf tiles that surrounded the
kitchen depicting a Jack Russell terrier, a fox and a connecting
background scene. A detailed underglaze was used on the
animals so they "pop out" of the Blue Grey background.

sculpting was completed, which really shows the three-dimensional
quality of the horse leaping off the panel. |
